UMF-Snowcats Program

The UMF SnowCats Learn to Ski Program is an after-school program for children in grades K-4. The program this year will be coordinated by the new UMF Alpine Operations Coordinator, in conjunction with the University of Maine Farmington Fitness and Recreation Center, and held at Titcomb Mountain.

Dates: January 23 – March 3, 2020 (February Vacation Optional); Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm-6pm

Program Costs: FSC member – $50; non-members – $90

This program does not provide equipment; however, Northern Lights will be offering daily rentals for $10 and a program duration. The rental program is not a season long lease program. Rental fees are paid to Northern Lights, located at Titcomb Mountain.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, parents are encouraged to visit home page slider for cancellation notices or contact the Fitness and Recreation Center at 778-7495, to ensure lessons are still being held. Generally lessons are held, even on SAD 9 or UMF snow days, unless the mountain closes or mountain conditions are deemed unsafe.

 Registration Information

Registration deadline is Friday, January 4, 2019 . This program has limited space for participation, which will be based on the ratio of UMF student instructors available. Space is on a first come first served basis.

Limited to 110 Participants.
